For all those who “Live Curious and Love Art,” here’s a story from 19th Century France, the Impressionist and Neo-Impressionist Era. A time when one man tore down over 19,000 buildings in Paris, and created a city so beautiful it caused a Nazi General to refuse an order from Hitler to destroy it.

This 43 slide show tells the story of Hausmann’s renovation of Paris, turning it into the perfect backdrop for many of the Impressionists best works. It’s also a great chance to see 28 additional Impressionist works of art.
